Wireless Base without power line.
There was really lovely day to work outside
Power what we can get from this solar-wind is 450W if we have sunny and windy day.
Ok now few words what is working inside box ! So there are 5 routerboards 433ah with mikrotik OS and 8 batteries 12 v , 100Ah.
On the wireless mast as we can see below on picture was 2 sectors 5,8Ghz, 2 sectors 2,4Ghz and 2 links in dual mode called Nstream2. All antennas was connected to the box where was boards with Mikrotik OS.
Batteries was putted in to a big metal box and connected together paralleled to increase capacity. Controller for Solar and Wind was working on 12 volts, what in my opinion isn’t to bad, but from experience preferring 24 volts.
Question, how long it will keep boards up when is no wind and no sun, hmm usually around 7 days, but that depend on how much traffic going trough the boards. I can’t remember company what have produce the wind generator. If I found then put some note here! Hopefully you will find some information what help you build your own wireless base station without a power source! Feel free ask about anything in comments.
Good Luck!

A big thank you for your blog post.
Photovoltaics are the best green energy solution for the homeowner. Low maintenance coupled with easy installation makes solar PV the best option.
Hey cool post! I am thinking about getting sun cells simply because I have only heard good points about them. It seems to be a beneficial investment, yet if anyone has past experiences, please share your experience. I’d appreciate it a good deal. Cheers!
If u are serious about this green energy thing and with the ever increasing costs of living and global warming, there should be better time when we stop throwing money out the window and save some by starting to generate our own electricity.
It’s not so simply, first you must invest some money to buy stuff and after that it could take a long time to get this money back !!! So if prices will be still so high it’s maybe better to wait a while
Cheers!
We were referred to come here to have a glance because of the info is great, I’m thankful I did, appreciate it guys regarding having this sort of suitable facts on the topic, I’ll encourage other folks to come here too, continue the great job. Anyway post is interesting that can keep 5 boards which approximately constantly needed around 70 wats!
hey buddy, this is one of the best posts that I’ve ever seen; you may include some more ideas in the same theme. And yours solar solution seems to be greate. I’m still waiting for some interesting thoughts from your side in your next post.
I’m seriously considering diving into solar energy roof tiles with my residence in the next couple weeks to still snatch up the government incentives that we can have. You seem like you are really knowledgeable–where can I get a reliable integrator? I’m in Wyoming.
Well, just go to your local electric shop and ask about opportunities for green energy!!@! What’s are goverment incentives? Do they refund anything ? Cheers!
“I’d put my money on the Sun and Solar Energy, what a source of Power! I hope we don’t have to wait until oil and coal run out, before we tackle that.” Nice combination of wind and solar solution,,, If it handle 100W that some score
Good Luck
