Human Body Wireless NodeImagine a garment which allows the use of mobile access networks capable of watching video in high resolution. In this drawing you can see some schema how it will works! The body node can link to fixed access points, gateways, or cellular networks when needed. Awesome isn’t it? Group of Irish researchers works on this project, they trying design antennas and all radios what needed to do it. All will be connecting like one big mesh infrastructure network.

The work on “body-centric” communications has been a focus of the Institute of Electronics, Communications and Information Technology at Queen’s University, Belfast, Northern Ireland. The researchers recently were awarded a grant of about $800,000 from the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Engineering and Physical Research Council.

When I’m trying imagine this project, that’s make some sense. Small antenna build in your wear could transmit signal even to 2 km. So sitting and waiting for bus you have chance to get some signal and watch YouTube in HD :)
