On picture below we can see CPE units: Alvarion , Motorola Canopy , Wandy and some others one what haven’t a clue how they called. Place of roof was on some small airport can’t remeber exactly where.
There was a time when all network works on StarOs operating system w
ith Metro boards and that wasn’t bad, but when we start do OSPF routing and PPPoE authorization for customers CPU clock wasn’t enough! Mikrotik is a really good operating system to creating wireless networks and Routerboards are pretty fast and good to implement in Network. How they works together ? In one word : they don’t like each other to much! But if you using routing in network it’s more or less ok. Worse is if your network is in bridge mode and all boards can see each-other, then happen strange things around

Have so much fun with lads when we see it ! That’s a omni 360 degrees, wondering how long that will keep and give wireless broadband to customers??? Week Month year maybe never make trouble. But one think is don’t do it this way to save time because you will lose much much more to get back and fix!
So how it is works !!! ? I try describe a little bit about this connection what we have been done .
Frequency 2,4 Ghz clear view, we can say that because was really high ! But I wasn’t see a node at all.
And most important what I didn’t say on start this post was : That wasn’t a NEW install, just repair old connection.
When I take my GPS to measure a distance to node which I have marked my self. It’s show 20,7 miles.
And here all my point of view on wireless connections change again a little bit.
Hello there!!! Few pictures for you to see how we build a stations of Mikrotik.
10 boards 433AH of course
and many many antennas on mast.
Well isn’t to professional but works a long time
I’m presume still working:) Inside was 3 PCI-atheros card ( D-link,TP-link,Planet WL-8310 ) as well was a switch what give a broadband service by cable to the rest people in block house. Summary that was around 12 customer on cable and 15 on radio 2,4 Ghz sector horizontal polarization. When I lived a POLAND.

Well here we have another pretty install of Wireless Broadband.
Again CPE is a Nanostation, installed on small bracket in the corner of front house wall.
If we have clear view there isn’t necessary using long bracket
So to do it right and looks good we using really small bracket what you can see on photos beside.
Very strong and long range Client radio. 24 dB Grid antenna and Ubiquiti Bullet CPE.
Bracket wasn’t long enough, so we put a pipe and connect each other! Distance was 3-5 miles but we can’t see other end and that was a problem here ! Signal was -87 dB and package 1mb/s.

Hello, last week was really interesting for me ! Why? Here exactly I will describe one of reasons
Distance from wireless base to customer was 8,55 miles, clear view and Fresnel zone.
